About Hug-it Machine

Hug-It Machine Werks originated in a shed in Ron Huggett's back yard.

Ron and Tom each have daughters that play hockey for the Litchfield Dragons. As they enjoyed the games, they visited and found they had similar interests. They started spending time working on cars and motorcycles for friends in Ron's garage. As the demand for their services grew, Ron and Tom decided to turn their hobby into a full time operation. Hug-it Machine Werks opened its doors in January of 2006 and have been thriving ever since.

Ron Huggett has lived in Litchfield for most of his life. He has been married to his wife Shelley for 27 years and has two children, Leah and Luke. Ron is an avid motorcyclist and makes an annual trek out to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. In addition to working on motorcycles at Hug-Its Machine Werks, Ron is also an accomplished welder and machinist.

Tom LaPlant and his wife Melinda have been married for 25 years and have been a part of the Litchfield community for the past 10 years. They have two children, Tom and Jackie. In his spare time, Tom enjoys classic cars and motorcycles. As an ASE certified mechanic, Tom is the person to talk to regarding any mechanical repairs on your car or truck.
